One step forward


This project is adapted from an earlier concept inspired by Creaks, Shady Part of Me, Eastward, and The Lord of the Rings. The original idea featured a magical world of elemental lands and multiple playable characters, each with unique abilities for solving puzzles and exploring. Players could switch between characters to solve mechanism-based or clue-based puzzles.

Due to using different character assets (I have no time and energy to produce a whole set of animations) and limitations in coding ablility, I simplified the design to focus on a single martial artist protagonist. The multi-character system was removed, and puzzles were replaced by clue collection leading to a final narrative-driven boss Q&A, preserving the story-focused gameplay in a more achievable form.

Here I just want to show some original character design and a more diverse level design as a record. I hope to bring the original idea to life someday.
